In conjunction with every Physiotherapy Assessment, a Manual Handling Assessment and Care Plan is formulated to identify the type and amount of assistance a resident requires for daily tasks. This includes bed transfers, their ability to mobilise to meals and their safety when performing personal hygiene requirements. Care staff are then provided with clear instructions for all aspects of care needs, thereby keeping residents safe within their environment.
